While the majority (slightly >50%) of people do not feel anything at all, many people have reported sensations ranging from itchiness, burning, pins & needless, vibrations, tingling, and for some, energy moving through the body. These are all very common and can be attributed to either sensitivity to the current, or sensitivity to the detox process. One should not be alarmed; just because it happened once does not mean it will happen for every foot bath.
If the user has cuts, blisters, or other openings on the feet (or whatever is in contact with the water, e.g. hands), their sensitivity to the current will be greatly increased, especially when the machine switches polarity. If the sensations are uncomfortable, the user can put his or her hands in the water instead.
